It was a topic often debated. Sometimes debated more than it should have been. But we can all put that to rest now as the Buccaneers reached an agreement to bring back Doug Martin.

General manager Jason Licht kept true to his word of retaining Martin and he did just that. The 2015 All-Pro running back rushed for 1,402 yards and six touchdowns on his way to a second Pro Bowl.
The Bucs did good in keeping offensive continuity for a young offense led by quarterback Jameis Winston. But now it’s up to the player to live up to the contract. Whatever those details may be.
