After Lovie Smith revealed last week that the Bucs were trying to make rookie quarterback Jameis Winston‘s life miserable at practice, the 21-year-old has settled in at training camp.
On Sunday, Winston made quick throws and even quick decisions against the Buccaneers’ defensive rush. He made several connections to his receivers across the middle and dumped the ball off to his running backs when he needed to. His ball placement was also on display once again as he connected for several touchdown throughout practice.
Winston was able to dissect the defense and do what he did so well at Florida State and that is run through his reads. While there were moments where the secondary had their moment — interception and tipped passes — Winston got the best of them Sunday afternoon.
Below are some videos and pictures from Sunday’s practice. Including the touchdown throws to tight end Austin Seferian-Jenkins and running Doug Martin.
