The Buccaneers continue the initiative of protecting their franchise quarterback.
Rick Stroud of the Tampa Bay Times reports the team has agreed to terms with Seattle free agent guard J.R. Sweezy.

Sweezy was coveted by several teams this offseason. The 26-year-old lineman missed just two games the past three seasons, playing in Super Bowl 48.
The Falcons and Broncos were reportedly heavy favorites to land the young, veteran guard. With the retirement of veteran Logan Mankins, Sweezy can now fill that void.
Also, the team is reportedly hosting free agent defensive end Robert Ayers Wednesday evening.
